Rodine 213 is an organic liquid inhibitor specially formulated to prevent acidic attack on metal surfaces. Rodine 213 is a hydrochloric acid inhibitor which is composed of keto amines substitutes blended with non ionic surfactant, alcohol and solvent. It aids in prevention of acidic attack from hydrochloric acid on iron and steel surfaces, copper and brass surfaces during cleaning and pickling operations. Rodine 213 is a high foaming formulation which effectively disperses greasy deposits and proves to be best for pickling prior to plating.
On adding this product to hydrochloric acid solution, maximum protection is ensured during operation such as elimination of lime deposit from the boiler and pipeworks and from evaporating plants. It also helps in the removal of deposits from industrial operating equipments made up of steel, brass, copper and iron. It is free from arsenic, chlorinated hydrocarbon compounds and lead. It can be applied in synergic combination with hydrochloric acid and is circulated through the equipments to be cleaned. In case if circulation is not possible, the equipments is kept filled with inhibited acid and allowed for a standing time to react and finally remove the objectionable deposits. The cleaning action can be enhanced if the equipments with the inhibited acid solution can be heated to a temperature prior to cleaning operation.
